At Ando, we’re taking a fresh approach to the way insurance works in New Zealand.

Due to an exciting internal secondment, we are looking for a highly motivated professional with excellent communication skills and attention to detail to take on the role of Compliance and Assurance Advisor on a fixed-term 12 month basis. This role will support Ando’s Governance Risk, and Compliance team to comply with insurance practices and assist with risk and compliance guidance.

You will ideally have an insurance, business, or law qualification, or relevant experience within the insurance or legal industry. You will have sound experience in previous risk and compliance management roles and will be familiar with GRC systems such as Protecht.ERM. The Compliance and Assurance Advisor will act as a trusted advisor to the business and will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Helping our business grow and succeed in a challenging and changing environment, you’ll be responsible for:

• Advising the business on key compliance matters, supporting risk management, building and monitoring compliance policies and registers, and ensuring that they are fit for purpose.
• Establishment and maintenance of compliance frameworks that ensures Ando’s insurance practices comply with relevant legislative obligations and internal protocols.
• Supporting the development and facilitation of compliance training programs including onboarding.
• Providing reports with meaningful insights to business leaders and external stakeholders as required.
• Ongoing support and contribution to process improvement related to key compliance risks.
